Grey Fox has been nominated three times for IBMA Event of the Year and is the subject of the full-length documentary entitled Bluegrass Journey now airing on public television stations nationwide. In January 2006, Grey Fox kicked off BBC World’s Destination Music, a 13-part series featuring music festivals around the world.

Grey Fox features four performances stages & three learning tents:

Performance Stages:

  • the Main Stage, with its natural amphitheatre
  • the Masters Stage, where you’ll hear unique combinations of top artists in an intimate setting
  • our Family Stage with loads of activities for kids of all ages
  • the Dance Stage, which features dance classes and demonstrations by day and the best dance bands in the business by night

Learning venues:

  • the Bluegrass Academy for Kids, a four day learning program for kids age 8 and up
  • the Grass Roots Sessions, with hands-on workshops by Bill Keith, Ron Thomason etc.
  • our Slow Jam Tent for beginning pickers at a speed that everyone can follow

Tent and RV Camping on site is a great way to enjoy the festival’s spirit to its fullest. We supply water, portable toilets, handwashing stations, 24-hour first aid and round-the-clock security. Ice, hot showers, pay phones are available on site (no hookups).

On Vendors Row you’ll find mouth-watering ethnic and festive foods, handmade crafts, music vendors and shops offering top quality products. Jaw-dropping sunsets and an enormous extended family come with the package.

Camping-in-the-rough not your thing? There are plenty of motels, B&B and campgrounds in the area. Rooms fill up quickly! Reserve early.

Important Note #1:
We sell only 4000 Camping Tickets and we normally sell out! Day Tickets are also limited. A word to the wise: Get yours now!

Important Note #2:
We don’t have many rules—just enough to ensure a safe and pleasant weekend for all. Please read our Camper’s Creed, as well as our policies on Dogs, Motorcycles, Smoking and Main Stage Seating.
