Print Version (PDF)

Q. If my mobility means I cannot carry a chair, are there any chairs provided by the festival?
We do not supply chairs, but we will help you carry your chair from your vehicle. Just let our staff know that you need assistance.

Q. If my mobility means I cannot sit on the ground or in a low chair, is there someplace I can set up an ordinary height chair?
Yes, we have a seating area for handicapped individuals and we also can accommodate visitors on a case-by-case basis.

Q. My wheelchair is definitely not low to the ground, is there someplace I can sit in it, where I won't be in the way?
Yes. Our staff will direct you to the HC seating area. A tent will be designated specifically for  handicapped visitors.

Q. Is there somewhere I can access electricity to operate medical equipment?
Our 24-hour medical emergency service tent is equipped with electricity and certified medical practitioners who can assist you. The medical  tent is conveniently located on the midway and accessible by wheelchair.

Q. Is there a path from parking to seating which is navigable in a wheelchair or on crutches?
Yes, weather permitting. We will also have a shuttle for handicapped persons. Please ask for assistance upon arrival and please factor in an additional 30 minutes to maneuver from HC parking to the stage area by shuttle.

Q. Is there a path that is kept clear of crowding?
A.  Our Security, Traffic and Safety and Emergency Services do their best to keep a path to the amphitheatre clear.  Also, while busy at times, vendor row can be navigated well.

Q. Can volunteers be arranged to help me?  Should I make arrangements ahead of time?
We have volunteers who can assist you. We prefer that you notify us in advance. Please contact the head of our EMS Crew, Joe Tedeschi: 401-447-8096 or stop in the Emergency Services tent and ask for the Critical Care Team.

Q. Where can I park?  Is the signage obvious?
Our Handicapped Parking area is marked. You may pick up a Handicapped Parking pass at the gate upon your arrival. Our traffic and safety volunteers will direct you to the parking area. It is in the same location as Performer Parking, as close to the stage as we can get you by car.

Q. Are there accessible toilets and hand washing facilities?
Yes, located near HC camping & HC parking and in the Main Stage area.

Q. Is there a medical facility?
We have a 24-hour Emergency Medical Tent manned by qualified Medical Practitioners including Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and EMTs. It will be located on Vendor Row on the Food side of  the vendors, close to HC parking.

Q. If there’s a disabled seating area, can my companion sit there with me? How many companions can be there with me?
Emergency Services will deal with any disabled seating on a case by case basis. Please see Joe Tedeschi, Director of EMS (401) 447-8096.
