What are the GPS coordinates for the festival? For those of you who use those fancy 21st century gizmos, here's the Lat & Long of it all.
Greyfox Stage: 42.039333~-73.544991 according to Live Search Maps. (Thanks Bill Hamilton). And in 2009, look for a tee shirt with the coordinates on it. You'll never be lost again!

Need to sell your ticket??? Occasionally ticket holders run into conflicts like some family member plans a wedding during Grey Fox (imagine that!). The festival does not offer refunds, but we do not prohibit you from selling your ticket. If you are unable to use a ticket, you may post it on our web site discussion group, or on e-bay, or anywhere you like. You may have potential purchasers contact me by email for verification if necessary, AND with our Ticket Transfer option you can change the name and address to the new owner for them to print a new ticket in their name when you receive payment. Essentially what you are selling is the Ticket code. ^back to questions
Can't find your ticket code???
Many ticket buyers did not write down the Ticket Codes they were sent when their transaction was complete. If you do not have the code please, email Lisa and we will send codes to you together with the link to print your tickets. Please DO NOT CALL for this information as we can only answer your request when she is at the computer.

Smoking: Can I or Can't I?
As at many outdoor events, all Grey Fox performance venues and food areas are smoke-free. Smoking is permitted at campsites, beyond the perimeter of the amphitheatre and in locations where people are not subjected to drifting smoke. Thank you. We appreciate your cooperation.
PS: If you smoke, please do not leave butts on the ground. A farmer will be baling hay again this summer and we wouldn't want cows to get sick. Contain your butts and dispose of properly.

What's the weather like? What kind of clothing shall I bring? And what else should I pack?
New York State in mid-July typically has very warm to very hot days that turn into cooler (and sometimes chilly) nights. So be prepared for all types of weather and wear very comfortable shoes. Grey Fox is a very casual, outdoor experience, so be comfy. For days, you might bring shorts and a cotton shirt, changing into long pants and adding a sweater or jacket at night. Layers work well! (Also see seating qustion).
We suggest you also bring the following: flashlight, rain gear, sunscreen, any medications that you need, and your camera. Above all, don't forget your ticket! Check out our What to Bring page for more suggestions. ^back to questions
Can we bring chairs into the Main Stage area?
Yep, bring your own chairs for sure! Low back chairs and blankets only in the section in front of and to the left of the sound booth. Regular height lawn chairs can be anywhere else. Please don't block the view of those behind you. Sun umbrellas & sun shades can only be set up on the perimeter of the amphitheatre.
Seating is on a first come, first served basis, beginning when camping gate opens on Wednesday. Once your chairs are set up, they may stay there all weekend. Volunteers may not place chairs until 6pm.
If you leave your seat for a while: It's the GREY FOX WAY to allow people to use your chairs if you leave for a while, so don't be surprised if someone has squated in your chair. Just tell them you're back and they'll move. If you don't want people to use your chair, then leave something in it or take it with you.
One more thing: When you're in the Main Stage amphitheatre, please wait until BETWEEN SONGS to either leave or go back to your seat. Be considerate and don't block the view of others.
Same with photos: Please don't block the view of others. We recommend using the CENTER AISLE. ^back to questions
So who's Dancin' Dave? Dancin' Dave has a camping service for folks who don't want to lug all their camping gear with them! He'll set up a campsite for you (for a fee, of course!) Here's his web site! ^back to questions
Can my son or daughter volunteer at Grey Fox? The minimum age for volunteers at Grey Fox is 16. First time teen volunteers must work with a parent or guardian on the same crew, same shift. ^back to questions
Why and when did Grey Fox change its location?
In January 2008, the Rothvoss Farm in Ancramdale, NY, home of Grey Fox, Winterhawk and the Berkshire Mountain Bluegrass Festival since 1976, was sold. Our management team went into high gear and found the beautiful and SAFE (flat) and lush Walsh Farm in Oak Hill, NY. 2008 was our first year at the Walsh Farm. Special thanks to Gary and Nancy Marron for searching far and wide in Greene County for a new home and for hosting our search party whenever they were up from Maryland looking at properties -- and to the Walsh Family, whose lovely farm we are using. We feel very welcomed by the folks in the area. For lots to do and see in Greene County, visit www.GreeneTourism.com
