Camping Arrival Instructions

When May I Arrive?

Don't forget your ticket confirmation number & I.D.
For missing numbers: EMAIL LISA

Camping Gates open at 7:00 am Wednesday, July 13. As you approach the Walsh Farm please observe and obey the signage and directions of the local law enforcement as they aid in your fair and safe arrival to the festival.

You may not park along the road, so plan your arrival accordingly. Better yet, relax... Come a little later and avoid the rush.

If you wish to camp in the area earlier, there are two options: (1) for nearby commercial campgrounds, contact Greene County Tourism or (2) you may camp for a week before Grey Fox at the Foxhole Pickin' Party on the Allen Farm four miles from Grey Fox. For information, check out the Foxhole or email Scott. The Foxhole Pickin' Party is a completely separate event, not connected to Grey Fox.

Check out our What to Bring page.

Where May I Camp?

There will be 5 general areas for camping:
1) HIGH MEADOW CAMPING for tents without vehicles (see below)
2) QUIET CAMPING (low noise from 10pm to 8am) for tents, pop-ups and RVs not using their generators; For your convenience, we now have a minimum of 3 quiet camping location—one being:
3) FAMILY QUIET CAMPING in the area around the Family Stage and the Bluegrass Academy Tent.
4) PICKERS PARADISE for those who wish to stay up late to pick and/or talk;
5) GENERATORVILLE for RVs that will be using generators. This section will be adjacent to Pickers Paradise and close to a shuttle bus stop; and
6) HANDICAPPED CAMPING for persons with mobility and health issues. This section is close to our 24-hour Medical Crew and adjacent to a shuttle bus stop on the main road to the Main Stage.

When you purchase a camping ticket, you are guaranteed a camping spot on site. While purchasing your ticket, you'll have an opportunity to tell us what section you would like to camp in. We use this information as a general guide in laying out the campground. Camping at Grey Fox is "rough camping" in a large hay field with "streets" separating the various sections. Camping is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be aware that some areas inevitably fill up sooner than others and we do not guarantee a spot in a particular section. However, we do guarantee a camping spot on site.
